Client:
Our client is the leading supplier within the fashion industry, working closely with large retail stores; they are growing at a rapid rate. Due to continuous growth they are now looking for an Account Assistant for a maternity cover initially 14months cover with a few to going permanently
Role:
• Post all cash book entries for both Wholesale and Retail on a daily basis excluding any purchase ledger and sales ledger postings.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for both departments.
• Calculate monthly Golf and Performance accounts commissions
• Preparation of MOP cheques and external 3rd party credit notes and raising cheques for customer refunds
• Monitor weekly Retail store cash count sheets, including petty cash sheets and enter into cashing up spreadsheet along with Retail sales receipts from bank statements
• Post Retail petty cash journals
• Reconcile cash in transit monthly, and monitor cash count weekly
• Participate in back up for Stephanie in holiday/sickness situations.
• Participate in Retail tasks.
• Cover all aspects of Sales Ledger when both Credit Controllers are absent.
• Complete and input Retail prepayments and input accruals on a monthly basis
• Clear down clearing account in Wholesale
• Cover some aspects of Accounts Payable in holiday/sickness situations.
• Monthly filing
• Ad hoc duties as required
You:
You will have to be a very professional, hard working self motivated individual, who works well within a team, dealing with all accounts issues from credit control, purchase ledger, sales ledger up to trail balance. This is a role that warrants a proactive individual who has a friendly personality and thrives in a team. Accounts experience is essential.
